DESCRIPTION:The Developing Leaders invite you to make a meaningful impact in our community through a hands-on volunteer opportunity. In partnership with the YMCA and in support of Nourish Up\, participants will assist with food distribution at a local branch\, helping ensure essential resources reach individuals and families in need.Volunteers will collaborate to sort and repackage bulk food donations such as fresh produce\, frozen items\, and pantry staples into individual boxes for distribution. Once prepared\, teams will help load these boxes into vehicles as part of an organized drive-through pickup\, serving both individuals and those collecting on behalf of others in the community.What to Expect:\nThis is a fast-paced\, team-oriented environment where volunteers play a critical role in efficiently preparing and distributing a high volume of food in a short period of time. Past events have served a significant number of families from across the region\, highlighting the real and immediate impact of this effort.Additional Notes:\nPlease dress comfortably and appropriately for active\, hands-on work. Closed-toe shoes are recommended\, and you may be standing\, lifting\, or working outdoors for portions of the event.This is a rewarding opportunity to give back\, connect with peers\, and directly support food access in our community in just a few hours.
