The General Election is coming! During this Lunch with a Leader, members have an exclusive opportunity to interact with and engage in open discussions on topics impacting commercial real estate development, our community, and our members. 

Meet Edwin Peacock, the District 6 Charlotte City Council Member (since May 2025) and candidate for At-Large City Council. Bring your questions and join in the conversation.   

Edwin B. Peacock III is a lifelong Charlotte resident whose career spans business, civic leadership, and public service. A graduate of Charlotte Country Day School and the University of Georgia, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science and a Certificate in Global Studies, Peacock went on to build a successful career in financial services. He currently serves as President of The Pomfret Financial Company, Inc., an independent insurance and business-planning firm, and is affiliated as a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual.

Peacock’s commitment to public service is reflected in his time on the Charlotte City Council, where he served as an At-Large member from 2007 to 2011. He was also the Republican nominee for Mayor of Charlotte in both 2013 and 2015, earning the endorsement of The Charlotte Observer, and ran in the 2012 Republican primary for North
Carolina’s 9th Congressional District. In May 2025, he returned to elected office when he was appointed to represent District 6 on the Charlotte City Council, filling a vacancy left by Tariq Bokhari’s resignation.


Beyond elected office, Peacock is deeply engaged in the Charlotte community. A member of the Rotary Club of Charlotte since 2003, he served as its President for the 2023–2024 term. He is also a graduate of Leadership Charlotte, Class XXVIII, and has held leadership roles with numerous organizations including Blumenthal Performing Arts, the North Carolina Arts Council, and The Fletcher School.

This event is exclusively for NAIOP Charlotte members.


CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations received on or before October 15th are entitled to a full refund less a $10 processing fee. No refunds will be awarded for cancellations after October 15th or for no-shows.
